Congrats 24 hr-mum. Can sense yr anxiety earlier on, when you try to find a good math tutor for yr dd. Glad that yr dd had made great improvement with only yr coaching. 🙂

its not a band 1 yet, but i m glad to pull her out of the 60s range. she was jubilant.

i updated here just to encourage mummies to journey with their kids if their kids are struggling in their studies, not just throw to tuition. tuition will help in content knowledge but sometimes eg my child she still cant grasp but no chance to ask cos tuition too fast

Not sure whether you all are still in this post. Long past the P4 SA1 already but kind of worried with her math too. This is her first band 2 for math and it kick off my panick button. Does that equate to forthcoming worst result in T4 or P5? When can we determine the child math standard for PSLE? Any experienced one out there who can give advice?

have u goen thru her math paper with her? Was it a difficult paper? Did she lose too many marks due to carelessness?

If she were to do it again at home within the given time, will she score better?

Yes, holiday is a good time to identify the gaps and zoom in to patch it. A tutor can only do that much during the 2 hrs or so per week.

Hi! Yes, I went thru the paper. It’s manageable. Almost 8 marks down the drain on questions which are within her capability. She wanna so much to have a breakthrough but I am clueless on how to help.
