my ds2 has been having problems with friendship lately.
he said his best friend called him names and some boy in his enrichment class said hated him. he is very sad. so am i. why are the little boys so mean?

Hi jedamum,
Sorry to hear about your DS2. Maybe the little boys don't mean what they say? As you know kids in K2, they are influenced by one another. Perhaps you can find out through the teachers? My DS2 sometimes come back and says he does not like so-and-so anymore, the others don't like to play with him etc etc. I told him, you have other friends to play with. I also like to tell him, don't bother too much about all these, cos eventually, friends will still be friends... cheer up.

Its natural in this stage.They easily said I am not ur friend.They are very small.My son in P1 also complain that all his friends are naughty and behave like kindergarten kids.Guide them the right attitude, would help to hang with friends.Asked him why his friend said like that?What he did?My daughter also said that her friend doing something wrong,cannot do like that.I told her its ok u mind ur work.

my boy's teacher said he likes to 'monitor' his friends and tell them not to do this or that during lesson time and ended up he did not pay attention in class. :faint:
