My hubby will not buy assessment book even if he steps into popular.
I've been getting that pink title since son was in P1...now i am buying it for my younger one. Your hubby is really dedicated...even on MC, he stepped into popular.

DH was on Medical Leave today but instead of \"resting properly\", he \"pop by\" Popular Bookstore to \"see-see-look-look\"!


Guess both of us were \"hit badly\" by P1 DD2's CL T critic comments during PTM last week so we decided that this June holiday we have to \"concentrate and focus\" more on DD2 P1 CL epsecially Oral & Listening Compre

Coincidentally my kids’ Chinese teacher was commenting that my colleague’s P1 girl whom she is tutoring got almost full marks for the written tests, but did not score well for the oral and listening comprehension parts. I think we all started out thinking that writing is the most difficult part of the language and thus put more efforts practicing writing etc, but somehow neglected the other important components. So now the teacher is trying to teach my kids to read with ‘feeling’ (high/low intonation)….my kids tend to read too fast (both English/Chinese), but without much change in tone….It’s worse for English, their teacher actually commented that they can actually fail their oral in primary school because they are reading too fast….not in a good way because sometimes they are cutting out the last sound of a word…eg. ‘nice’ becomes ‘nine’… :oops:
