      superduper:
Are there really an 'overinflation' of GCE 'A' Level 'A' grades?

Everyone seems to be getting 'A's .....
Ha ha the question is the quality of the A. In JC typically it ranges from 70 to 100 for an A grade.

          Hi Kiasu / Concerned Parents:

How are your DDs and DSs dealing with the oncoming GCE ‘A’ Levels exam at the end of the year? The countdown is on. Yet some are consistent but some are still at relaxed mode. Perhaps you could share your concerns, weals and woes as parents about your DDs and DSs progress in JC2.

The rank points do not really matter. To enter local university, they look at the number of A, B, or C you have…For ex: To enter SMU Economics, you’ll need AAB/B

FOr NUS business, you’ll need AAA/A…( that’s 3H2 and 1 H1 grades). These cut-of-point are changing every year.

Many JCs do conduct make up or revision lessons during the June hols. How about your JC?

We in England are heading back ta 60s/70's O and Alevels within 5 years. Syllabi are being prepared (hastily) to start teaching in Sept 2014. Thank god, my children will sit the same level of rigour as I did. :xedfingers:
