Any parents went to the MBC carnival last saturday? My kids had so much fun at the games booth. All the booths have \"sure-win\" prize. My kids ended up having 9 pens/pencils and several packets of crackers. I took the opportunity to tour the school and ate the food in the canteen. The food served in the canteen was good. I tried the chinese and malay stalls .

I did! But we were there for just about half an hour. Didn’t take part in the activities. Our main objective was to familarise ds who’s starting his P1 next year. Luckily he likes the place, and he was anxious to look at the classrooms. I’m glad his classroom is on level 1. Dh didn’t miss the "newness" of the school.

My girl will be registerating for Primary One next year. However I have a total concern on the Phrase 2C, looking at the fact that there is balloting that high possibility that of unable to enter.


Besides MBS as 1st choice, any better 2nd choice?? anyone can give me suggestion? or any encounter??

For P1, they will be stream based on their chinese results after SA1. They will be stream again after their P1 SA2 results. Basically kids will stay in the same class until P2 but during chinese lessons, they will go to their respective CL class. A typical example is that those in \"stronger\" class may have more than 30 pupils. I heard from my P2 girl that she had close to 40 in her class. Meanwhile for those who are weak in the subject, they will probably have 20 + pupils so that the teacher can pay more attention to the weaker students.

On the other hand, note that those in \"stronger\" class will typically be given more difficult tingxie list or will be expose more due to their ability. At the end of the day, all kids will sit for the same paper.

Then from P2 to P3, they will be stream again based on overall results. There is only 1 best class in P3. The rest will be a mix of children of different abilities.

The color house remain the same throughout.

also the booklist states some optional buddhist books, what is that for?
