      piglet and calf:
      Hi,

I usually got my material from Singapore Motherhood BP or from the Shichida Sinsei shop (but more ex). If your child is in Shichida, you will need to get the linking memory from them as they use a certain set for each term.

Recently, I discovered this website which i find it very useful for our home practice too..:)

      http://www.rightbraineducationshop.com/
      Hi,

May I know where is the Shichida Sinsei Shop? And does the shop have the linking memory thingy as well?

                Hi,

Anyone knows whats the difference between Shichida 63-Day Random Shapes Flashcards & random dots/variety dots/ organised dots flashcards? Is it the same thing?

hi, i was a teacher in $xxxxxxa for a few yrs, many many yrs back. i am strongly against eflashcards (if by eflashcards you mean using powerpoint or some other software or apps to flash pictures or words to children at a high speed), no offence to all those that are selling/ doing eflashcards.

eflashcards harm young children's eyes and may cause some other issues like hyperactivity.

coz_hui, the 65 Days Dots programme is a prog that the school does. You have to follow the cycles carefully and strictly in order for it to work.

the difference among the dots cards are:

organised dots -- red dots lined up in rows, as the name goes, very organised.

random dots -- the red dots can appear anywhere on the card.

variety dots -- instead of red dots, they can be stars, butterflies, cars... anything.

hope the above info is helpful! 😄

For your info, all Shichida and Heguru classes have computer monitors in their classes.

When I send my child to Shichida in Wisma Lim Foo Yong, Malaysia,
they use computer monitors (power point) for exercises like speed reading, songs cum flash cards and ,any more.

Heguru is also video based, and uses power point for their "super flash cards" at the age of 4 to 5 years old in Japan. That will prepare them for "wave reading"/speed reading.

The advanced shichida students in Japan relies on power point also as it is impossible to flash 2 to 3 cards per second.

                    Are you a Shichida teacher???

                    Get your facts right!!!

hi, i am fully aware that they have computer monitors installed in their classrooms and i understand their reasons for doing so but that doesnt mean that i agree with the reasons. perhaps you can check with mrs khoo for the reason why she doesnt approve of using computer monitors to do flashcards and later on why she changed her mind.

                        Hi sundaeMoon,

                        Yes I do agree!

That is why Mrs Khoo install computer monitors in the classroom. And she knows the importance of speed and clarity of the flash card exercises.
