Tri-mum:
actually not quite sure how to use my KPs points at the auction :? Will read up Chief's link and try to join in the auction tonite.
You dun hafta physically use it dear.
Just online bidding style. If you win it,
then your KPs will be deducted by the
Penguine. But you can only bid with what
you have. My tip is, be kiasu. Come early
and make your first lowest bid before the
rest of the auction pros come in to make
a first valid bid, so you can earn 50KPs
for making a valid bid award. No minimum. -

She is China national.
How do you know this?
Jamie Foo did the school proud last year!
-
Maybe I got it wrong.
Outside Yew Tee Pri Sch, there is a banner. Now I recall her name is Ho Qian Yi who scored 270 (not 284) & moved on to S1 in RGSS this yr. Ho & Foo sound very near.
Her sis transferred to RGPS GEP beg this yr. And she is getting her award at tmr’s speech day. They are China national. -
Found this information.
Jamie Foo is Singaporean - her parents are both civil servant in Defence Ministry.
The other girl Xinyi (14th best) was fm Elias Park, she is from Dalian.

My vote goes to Nanyang Primary.
Reasons:
Son is with Nanyang, P4 GEP.
Nanyang doesn't train the kids for GEP. We have a host of enrichment centres here conducting extra lessons after school, anybody and everybody can join so long as you pay, Lorna Whinston, Han Language etc, etc
P1 to P3 - no stress at all, and not much homework. Friend's girl from Nanhua had \"mo-xie\" in paragraphs, my son only had not more than 4 sentences each time. I was the one that panicked.
My son cried because he didn't achieve his goal for Math CA2 (his fav subject), his math teacher consoled him and called us twice to reassure us that he is a good student, just a little careless. FYI my son is just an average student, not a top scorer.
A friend's girl who just sat for PSLE this year recounted how caring her teachers were before the exams. They were told to relax, not just in words, the teachers brought them to fast food outlets, science centre to de-stress; played games with them; motivated them. Ironically, the stress came from TLL, her TLL teacher told her based on her performance she should target 280+ !! None of the teachers told her that from NYPS.
Mdm Heng was the only principal who stood up and bowed to the audience last year during the GEP parents talk, the audience appreciated and applauded her for that. She practices what she preaches.
Disclaimer:
I am not a parent volunteer, I am not a teacher of the school, I am not a relative of Mdm Heng. -
I vote for Gongshang Primary because I teach several 6.10 (top) class students who are very bright. I hope my student is the top.
-
My vote goes to PHPPS because
1. its my school,
2. I trust that my fellow schoolmates will do my school proud,
3. my school has never gotten highest PSLE score before so they'll score the highest this year;-)! -

My vote is for Nanyang Primary. The reason:
Nanyang Primary was the overall champion in the Maths competition organised by ACS last year. http://www.acs.sch.edu.sg/acs_indep/announcements.php?id=57 Out of the P5 cohort, it has the highest number of students taking part and scoring Gold. http://www.econnections.com.sg/am2008.html My DS3 was the only one representing his school. Bearing in mind that this year's Maths paper is tough, these students should be among the top scorers for Maths, at least. Of course, this is not accurate as some top schools did not take part. :?
Besides, Nanyang Primary is traditionally strong in Chinese compared to RGS. With 2 subjects to their advantage, the school could produce a top student this year. -
Way2GO:
My prediction is also NYPS for all the reasons that have been said before.. hee hee
My prediction is NYPS though my secret hope is with MBS.
Reasons:
1. Probability is with NYPS vis most GEP students, past two years PSLE performances.
2. This reason stemmed from my personal experience recently. I will not delve into the details here. Briefly, when we made a visit to the school in Nov, I was met with polite yet arrogant replies from two senior looking admin staff at the GO. With such arrogance filtering down to even the admin staff, the school must be very confident, no?
Or was it that my DW didn't shave that day to solicit such arrogance:!:
NB: In fairness to NYPS, the matter was referred higher up and dealt with promptly
But most all I was really :? by wat way2go mean by: Or was it that my DW didn't shave that day to solicit such arrogance:!:
