Singapore Women are over protected by law!

I really wonder how many Singapore Pampered Women will serve NS without complaints and without opening legs!

HALLO.. I suppose the above statement includes your WIFE??? :yikes:
Not to mention your mother, sisters, daughters, future daughters-in-law..
I really pity them all.. They must be CRYING OUT LOUD now.. 😢

As compared to my mother's generation who are more hardworking and have better moral values and more understanding, the young female teenager nowaday are..........
I do not want to an agruement on that. Just open our eyes and we shall see and observe. 🤷

By Singapore law, Singapore male have to serve NS with peanut allowance, there is no law that state that Singapore women need to do NS (Maybe they should take up nursing job). They should have some kind of training to understand the value of hardship, teamwork, discpline etc. They will be less pampered, more understanding and less materialistic.

eh, you mother, your sister, your wife, your daughter are all women

Erm, this Dad42 seems to be asking for equality. If women are to serve NS, can men give birth? This is off topic already. Can this topic be more refined ? What is this about women opening legs? This is ridiculous.

I feel the same way about the new generations of boys too.
More pampered (got female maid to carry army pack even), less able to take hardship (seems like even NS is getting easier). Unlike man of past who will take pride in being the sole breadwinner, these days they expect wife to bring in the dough together & still takeover housewife responsibilities.

I think it's not fair to make such statements for both genders.....
But as a whole, the new generation are now different - boys & girls. I will just try my best to inculcate the right moral values & hopefully my kids can stand tall & remain strong & not succumb to temptations.

Just wondering, is singapore law different from other countries? Why are Singaporean women singled out for being over protected? Isn't the women's charters for all females???

Maybe there are some who abuse the system, maybe there is some unfairnesses, but on the whole, I think there are good reasons why the law protects the young and the women.

WC is only for Sg , by someone draft...... or drafted by someone......

Generally, I do support some form of protection for the fairer sex. provided they did no wrong doings.

However.. it is ridiculous when a women who committed adultery is still covered by WC and claim right to the man's matrimonial asset as if the adultery never happened.

In other words.. WC is effectively blind to wrong doings by the women when it is wielded as a weapon by them against men.

Most men now marry women who are capable, so that their wives continue to work and bring home money. This way, the men don’t need to suffer the brunt of being sole breadwinner. They can change cars, go for overseas holidays, buy new house and enjoy life. These men do not seem to know that if they want to get married, they must have the means to support a wife and kids themselves.

The point is Singapore Women is abusing WC.

Have you ever think if our Singapore son is abused by women using WC against them?

Here in Singapore, women are protected by charter.

Men cry out because they find it so unfair. In middle east countries or Pakistan for eg, their women are stoned to death when they commit adultery. Male members kill their female relatives like daughters, sisters and wives for this thing called ‘honour killing’. But if men commit adultery, my guess is, it is ok. Is it fair ?

Some women have affairs because their husbands neglect or abuse them. Women want love too. When husbands neglect, these women are lonely. They happen to find company and love. These women would have contributed to the household and marriage. Why are they denied protection?

                    I think dad42’s point is

                    - wc protects the women, whether they are at fault or otherwise. This shd not be the case becos most of us believe the law shd protect the good.

I believe dad42 is not against protection of the women in the general sense. He is just disgusted by how some women abused the wc. I believe these bad apples are the minority, even if there is a growing trend. Most of us wives love our family more than ourselves. Had there not be a trigger, the wives would not hv derailed.

I also believe most mummies here can judge for themselves and know when a wrong is a wrong. Even though the law may favor the women, she/they may not get the understanding from the same gender.

If it is me who abuses the wc, I may win the case/the money/my pride but I will lose my integrity, the understanding and respect from my family. Most importantly, i may not have my child’s understanding and respect. Eventually he will grow up and maybe learn about this. I think it will kill me more than any knives or acid, that my child despise me for what I hv done.

are you trying to say that when he changes car she does not ride in it ? and he buys new house she can't stay in it ? and he goes overseas holidays without her ever ?

if you want to tekan the man, be specific and don't need to be over sweeping

you have some issue with man ?

so the sole breadwinner cannot change car cannot buy new house or what ?

Bad apples are just a minority. Usually women love their families a lot more.
Women in general will sacrifice their happiness for a happy family...unless husbands abuse them to the point they cant take it. Of course there are women who abuse husbands, have affairs or gamble...but there are also men like that. At the end of the day, integrity and conscience is impt.
