Please advise. My current maid is complaining to hv pain at her kidney. She said she has been hvg this problem few years back before she came to singapore. What do i do now? Do i bring her to see family doc or polyclinic? Who is suppose to bear the costs? I wont be able to fork up so much money for her medical bill if she needs dialysis. Sigh…can i send her back?

It is your responsibility and most of the cost should be covered by her insurance.

I would suggest that you take her to the doctor to obtain an initial diagnosis then, if it turns out she will need long-term treatment, you will have to sit down & discuss with her. You don’t want to be landed with a large ongoing cost to bear but you may not feel comfortable sending her home if she is sick and has no money to be treated at home.
