Thanks for the update. I also would like to know whether the P3-going-afternoon-session is finalized or is it made official? Haven’t received any letter / announcement on that as well so far.
DD did mention to me about it once and I just brushed it aside, thought she heard it wrongly as I didn’t hear it from the School.
I hope the School can confirm on this news coz we need to make some alternative arrangement if that is the case. -

Oops, never cross my mind that this is a news since the few mums I talked to already know it. I take it as finalised as I was told that it was announced by the principal himself. Hmm, ya, the school shd confirm and notify every P2 parents thru letter. Thanks for the update. I also would like to know whether the P3-going-afternoon-session is finalized or is it made official? Next year P3 in afternoon?
Yes, Gabby. My DS's form teacher mentioned to me again during the recent May meet-teacher session. U may want to double confirm with your DS's form teacher. -
Hi, my son is from Poi Ching. As we are migrating, i have the following items for sale:-
1) Used P3 textbooks for Term 1 & 2 and new P3 textbooks for Term 3 & 4 for sale.
2) P1 & P2 Higher Chinese textbooks "Reader Pen" for sale too. This Reader pen is helpful for them if they want to self-study alone at anytime and anywhere. For working parents who are too busy to guide your kids or for those who are not so well verse in their chinese like me, this pen is definitely a great help.
Please pm if you are interested.
Thanks. -
Hi all
During the recent PTM session, DS’ FT mentioned there may be a change again in P3 session next year. We happened to see the principal walk by and asked him. He said he is actually only short of 4 classrooms for P3 and if he can make alternative plans, P3 will resume in AM session next year. He said it will be finalized in August. -
Hihi! I’m a newbie in this forum. My dd just got a place in P1 next year. Hearing so much about the stress level in Primary schools, especially a SAP school, can someone share with me the culture in Poi Ching? Feeling anxious wondering if I can cope with her schoolwork. Any tuition I should start to look for her? Are there exams all year round? How much is the amount of homework should I expect? TIA!

There are assessments all year round. Chinese to me, is tough and demanding. You must coach and monitor your girl’s progress, if you are the academic driven kind. I think you may want to see how your child copes before deciding on
Tuition. My son has homework almost daily last year when he was in P1. -
Thanks, Gabby for your feedback! does the school do some screening test when they enter P1?
I’m not the academically driven type of parent. Her Chinese is not bad, cos her kindy places a big emphasis on the language. Just want my dd to enjoy her primary school days but rather worried she’ll get bullied in school. Emotionally she’s still not matured, the kind who cries easily.
