Need some advice....if you realised that your maid has taken money from the money you left with her for emergency at home...will you still let her transfer or send her home? I'm at a loss as i don't want another employer to have to deal with her, but she has 3 kids back in PHilippines and i feel bad about it....sigh!

Did you confront her why she took the money? Maybe you can tell her if she need money she should ask first? If it is not a lot of cash suggest you transfer her out.

Ya i did…she said she needed money for top up. She’s always over spending and has been advancing on her pay. I’ve been very lenient with her and loaned her money before her payday until i put my foot down earlier this month. I believe that is the reason she took the money. Still, it is a breach of trust.

I just told my maid to leave earlier in Sept rather than in Nov when the contract finish. She gives me a black face!! I explain to her it’s very hard to wait till Nov because I may not be able to find a suitable maid. Now that I found a new suitable maid then of course I must grab the chance. Wa!! Her face black like charcoal! Her work permit expire only in Dec, she says it’s my fault that I ask her leave early!!

you shouldnt have tell her she has to leave early so that you can find a new maid, if you are the employee, you wont be happy to hear that too right? Do be careful of your belongings now, incase she seek revenge via someways.

suggest you send her back immediately because the relationship has soured. if not, you have to start treating her like a princess now so that she wont do any funny things.

Very regret but I treat her like family. Never expect such a strong reaction. Thought she will understand and I was kind enough to give her 3 months notice??!!!

In the first place she was the one who only want to work till Nov. I have to find a replacement. Even before I look for a replacement, I tell her about it. I didn’t hidefrom her. Don’t understand. Now I feel really cannot treat maid like family and expect them to understand.
