hi hi,
at the risk of sounding really clueless… my son is in nyps p1 this year and we were invited to attend the prize award ceremony tomorrow (or actually later today) can someone pls enlighten what the nyps high achiever mean? i presume it was to award his good grades, but how many are given this award in every class? thanks in advance for the info!

Was at the prize giving ceremony this morning.
High achievers : top 5 per class, P1 - P5
Model students : 2 per class, P1 - P5
Best in subject : top students for each level for each subject - bilingual, Maths, Science (P3 - P5 only)
All received trophies except for bilingual awards which looked like some cert/vouchers.
They presented a short video at the end, on Mdm Heng & life in NYPS as she will be leaving to go to NYGH. Quite sentimental - to me  -
Congrats! mickeyhmh, you must be rejoicing
Do they have exams in P1 too ? how about CA as well?mickeyhmh:
This Thursday is the last day of school!! Friday is prize giving day : P1 - P5 in the morning, P6 Graduation in the afternoon.
DS1 came back with his Report book today. He is one of the top 5 in his class!! So happy for him. Hope he can keep this up for next year & the following years! We have been invited to attend his \"Prize Presentation Ceremony\". He's hoping for a trophy to put on his bookshelf.
Need to start arranging holiday classes/camps for him to keep him occupied. Don't want him to be cooped up in the BASC all through the holidays - mommy & daddy need to work.
