Not shop around lah.

KSP forum has created threads of so many schools. Many members hv contributed the good and bad points of the school their child are in/was in.

Reading up these threads will give you a better idea what is suitable for your child.

By my criteria, my top choice for pri school if I have a gal-gal will be MGS. Got spiritual guidance, got affliation to an excellent sec sch, got fantastic PSLE track record - beating some GEP schs even. What more can a parent wish for?

2nd and 3rd choice will be either SCGS/NYPS.

I do not need top school. All I want is the affiliation to sec school.

I'm glad my younger one is in all girls school and now really hope the cut off point will not increase when she goes to P6. PSLE is no joke :nailbite:

Jennifer, so many schools... but not like you want to go in then can go in one leh... I m just taking easy route to narrow my list... back to alumni cos I m too lazy to do 'PV'...


MGS and NYPS all also competitive... Think if not alumni or siblings... it will be slim to get into...

Yes, there's a difference.... Ex students in alumni get priority over those not in the alumni.... But PH has no alumni, so all ex students on equal footing... No need worry, as long as no major change in p1 registration, your dd sure can get in wan....

Then u better read from page 1 of PH thread.

PH culture has changed over the years.

Better come in with your eyes wide open rather than to be sorry when you feel that the school is not suitable for your child.

However lazy or short of time we as parents might be, do not take the easy way out. Just my 2cts worth.
