Keming Primary

[XEK3]

Hi, would like to hear some feedback about the school culture and education system. Feedback on its BASC is also very much appreciated. Thank you.

Students in Keming are blessed with an approachable principal, Mr. Tay who emphasizes on a culture of care and an engaging learning environment. There was once when I was on my way to pick up DD from school and he greeted me with a warm smile even though I was a distance from school compound. It may be a small gesture but is the moral value school is trying to inculcate in its students that I respect.

The school sets academic targets according to individual student's aptitude and ability. If student displays motivation in particular domain within school's purview, there are clubs and programmes where student can foster their talents or interest. These are just my personnal opinion of Keming and I have no regret sending DD to this school.

It’s a pity mr Tay will be transferred to another school next yr.

Hi,

I would like to hear feedback about the student care in Keming Primary School. Basically how is the teacher in the student care? What is their schedule like? Operating hours from 7am to 7pm? Is there discipline in the student care or the studnt are alow to roam around the school compound? Any nap or rest time for the kids?

Thank you

One of the teacher is an ex police officer who work with delinquent. Discipline wise, I hv no complain.

Hi! My ds is in p3 this year too! He is in 3 Onyx.

They were placed based on their P2 results. According to his teacher last year, ds will be among the top 4 classes. From the way his classmates were placed, 3 Am is the top class, then Jade, Diamond and Onyx. The teachers will not reveal the ranking but we know our child well.I'm not sure what placing is Opal though. I find the ranking does not matter, after all our child needs to cope at his own pace. Hope this helps.

I heard da teacher mentioned in a slightly diff sequence for the ranking. But it's doesn't matter anyway, most important is for them to enjoy school.

Btw, my gal also in 3oynx

Is it true that Mr Tay will be transferred to another school next year? Can the parents send in request to stop this transfers?

Btw, does anyone know how long have been Mr Tay works as a principle in Keming Primary School?

[711mum]

I was told it is a regular process that principals are rotated to different schools every six years or so.

Thanks FMz.

Oh…so any news that which school’s principal will be transfering to Keming? Has been seeing Keming is improving over the years and with the change in Principal, will the standard drop?
