Hi erichew,
Actually if your child is P1 next year, you only have P1 parents to co-share with cos P1 is pm session.
Might not be very economical to do that, unless she’s P2 onwards with more parents to share. Have thought of co-sharing before for my P3 boy, but there are days where he attends enrichment classes and may not be easy to arrange for interested parents to have transport on such days, so we shelved the idea.
Fyi, my new bus fare is $103, up from $78 (or $85?? sorry, not very good in figures). Extra 4pm trip (for extra lessons) is $8, up from $2. And I’m staying near central area too. -
Hi Kiasu Grandmaster
My main concern is primary one coz this is the period whereby they needed most attention and if the distance can be cut short by self chartering a bus, then it will be the most ideal. I heard from someone that for my area, the kids will be the first to get up the bus and last one to alight, so I am concern.
For P1, my guess is that there will be no need for enrichment class or cca, so timing can be better managed in terms of getting the private bus.
It is a thought, nothing concrete coz also need to find out the cost of it as I do not have any contacts on such private bus services. -

Hi daddy2007
Sometimes taking bus no doubt may be easier, but if both parents are working and the only option is school bus, then we really do not have a choice… -
Any1 concern with the safety on our child walking out to the bus stop near Grand corpthorne htl in the afternn?

The Sch bus fees of the Sch is v exp compared to many others. My nephew pri Sch bus fees is only $50.

Hi zumba.
P1 is afternoon session. P2 onwards is morning for now.
Yes - the current school bus operator does not provide service for the east area, only central and west area.
The nearest BASC near rvps would be Alphabet Playhouse. You can arrange the transport provider to fetch your child from Alphabet to RVPS. -

Me!
His bus stop isn't near grand corpthorne, it's the one opposite great world city to take his bus, near those shophouses.
So no choice, had to give him hp during those extra-lesson days.
I want to boycott the extra trip service.
Btw, did the school get back about on the fare revision? They said start of T3, but no news till now :? -
Winth, they gave out the reply. DD received the "envelope" on Friday. You may check with your DS. They are going ahead with the increase. However, the increase has been staggered. The CCA and 70% of the monthly fare starts on August. Balance 30% effective January 2013.
I’m concern over the operator requesting for a increase year on year at such quantum. Now I wonder if they would keep their 2013 fares unchanged till end of that year with this increase. There is no mention about it. Maybe the school should call for a public tender for 2013 given that we still have 6 months before the end of this year.
