Personally, I think this testimony is irrelevant (no offense to the girl and to CHC people). Because in this case, she actually benefited directly from the China Wine, as in benefited financially from having participated in the MTV (most likely). So it's kind of like getting your employees to sing praises about their employers. What I would be interested is if there is a documented testimony that a non believer, upon seeing China Wine MTV in the media, decided to find out more about Sun Ho, and by extension finding out more Christianity and accepting Christ in the end.

Yes, she's a member of CHC. Nothing was mentioned about the conversion rate as a result of China Wine.

However, somebody else came up and spoke about the benefits of the Crossover Projects, especially in Thailand and how they managed to convert 77 hippy youngsters because of the pop band/singing where they have a very funky and hip place for their church sessions which appealed to colored hair teens / youngsters (as quoted by the guy).

It was interesting to see this Crossover from a CHC-er point of view. The article does raise some questions though. Is there any concrete proof about the claims he made about the impact of Project Crossover, or his knowledge of Project Crossover was just based on what CHC has disclosed to its members?

It's kind of like statements made by government such as 'HDB flat sizes have not shrunk', '$1000 enough to buy HDB', 'PSLE papers have not gotten harder', etc. I am sure many of you here initially rolled your eyes when you heard about these the first times. This is because 1) the apparent ridiculousness of the statements. and 2) we are not privy to the details and facts that are the basis of the statements.

So I hope CHC members here understand where I am coming from. As an outsider, I will normally take any statements with a pinch of salt, and that includes both CHC's and our MSM.

If one preaches prosperity gospel for 20 years, how will anyone believes what he says if he is still not very rich and only manage to stay in a 5-room HDB flat? then, in order to get rich fast, one will have to resort to crook means. I think I see the motivation also.

We do not know if the money from church was used to finance this. The main bone of contention is not so much this, but that the money was used for the cross over project and that not many people knew that.

I would be very interested to find out if people actually got turned off from Christianity as a result of watching china wine and kill bill MTV. And subsequently finding out the girl in the MTV is a pastor's wife. Maybe someone can do a survey or pool?
