I would be very interested to find out if people actually got turned off from Christianity as a result of watching china wine and kill bill MTV. And subsequently finding out the girl in the MTV is a pastor's wife. Maybe someone can do a survey or pool?
Maybe now not a good time to do the survey since people's judgement will be affected by this ongoing case.

Thanks Happy Mama. Sorry to trouble you one more time. I modified my initial post to include one more question on whether the girl was a Christian before participating in China Wine. Was this mentioned in the service?

        You're welcome, Dreamaurora. 😄

It wasn't explicitly mentioned, but I deduced that she converted to Christianity and joined CHC after she met Sun Ho and subsequently Sun got her to dance in her China Wine MTV.

        Thanks, Happy Mama. :thankyou:

I think somebody posted about the crossover project . It sounded interesting, however does it also has to cover her luxurious life in LA with big house and a few butlers and maids ??

We do not know if the money from church was used to finance this. The main bone of contention is not so much this, but that the money was used for the cross over project and that not many people knew that.

But if the church do not financed that, the monthly rental from such big house come from where? Expenses and rest? Her husband's salary? All these of course can be conveniently comes under expenses due to crossover projects. All these crossover projects were they ever been approved by all the church goers or the donors ? All in the name of God? I am a Christian and I felt all these cases of Breach of trust , are actually trying tarnish God's name . Instead of spreading Christianity .

Just curious, as I’ve never attended church service other than school chapel services, church weddings and church funerals.

            Can someone please enlighten me?

Is it a normal to collect weekly tithe in the form of cheques and credit cards? I would assume weekly tithes to be in the form of cash, but was very surprised when I heard cheques and credit cards were mentioned during the CHC online service today. There was even an option for those watching via Internet streaming to make their contributions.

Is this the same for all churches?

Yes some churches do that. It is more convenient than bringing huge amounts of cash. We do not carry around that much cash with us physically nowadays. It is a matter of making things more convenient for members.

Tithe is a monthly thing for most churches; it's just that you can contribute it any time of the month. Most churches collect tithe by cash, cheque, or bank transfer and in the case of some churches, credit cards. Typically churches will only collect cash offerings during services. Cheque or bank transfer options are there, but normally will not be mentioned during service. Hope that answers your questions.

Not sure also could be from their business, their savings, but since the facts are not clear on this, for me I rather not judge. However, it is understandable to think like you. I see where you are coming from but since the facts on this are not out yet, I rather not say that it is def a breach of trust or that the money must have come from the church.
