      2/5 = 3/5

      6/15 = 6/10

      (The key is to make the numerator the same in both fractions.)

      Total units of fiction books = 15
      Total units of non fiction books = 10

      25 units = 125
      1 unit = 5
      Total fiction books = 15 x 5 = 75
      Total non fiction books = 10 x 5 = 50

      There are 25 more fiction books than non fiction books.

        2/5 of fiction (F) = 3/5 of non-fiction (N)

        fiction(F) + non-fiction(N) = 125
        2/5 F = 3/5 N
        F+N = 125
        F =125-N
        => 2/5 (125-N) = 3/5 N
        => 50-2/5N = 3/5N
        => 50 = N
        => F = 125 -N
        => F = 75

        => F-N =75-50
        = 25
        So there are 25 more fiction than non-fiction in the collection

              Lim had less than 30 marbles. She gave some marbles to her children. If she gave each child 6 marbles, she would have 5 extra marbles. If she gave each child 8 marbles, she would need 1 more marble. How many marbles did she have?

              Pl explain for me

                Express 70/6 as a decimal rounded off to the nearest hundredth?

                70/6 = 11 4/6

                11 4/6 = 11 2/3

                11 2/3 = 11.67 is the answer.I don’t understand how to convert 11 2/3 in to 11.67. pl help.

                      Pl explain for me
                      By guess & check
                      Lim has < 30 marbles
                      Marble @ child No. of child total marbles < 30 marbles
                      6 4 4x6+5 = 29 yes
                      8 4 4x8 -1 = 31 No
                      6 3 3x6+5 = 23 yes
                      8 3 3x8 -1 = 23 yes

                      So she has 23 marbles.
