I did my colonoscopy in NUH. My last round was in 2020 and doc suggested I re-do in a few years' time bec I didnt clear my bowel properly. I could even see veg and rice inside
This time I was determined to follow strictly to the instructions on what to eat and what not. My bowel prep was gd and my large intestines were \"spotless\" clean
A few small polyps were removed and doc said shld be no big issue.

That's why when she visited Singapore in the early 80s on invitation of 南洋商报, the local reporters took her to Sungei Road flea market to look at 破铜烂铁! She also went to 百胜楼、友联书局、大人餐厅!
Not just 橄榄树,红尘滚滚、追梦人 too!
滚滚红尘 song/lyric written by 罗大佑, for the movie with the same name written by 三毛. 追梦人 also song/lyric written by 罗大佑, as a tribute to 三毛. All those 3 songs closely related to her.
I read 三毛 had the unique talent to see values in old/discarded stuffs. Her close friend reveal in many of her houses, she would tend to gravitate towards run down buildings, change the frame of windows, design her own curtains/bed blankets from discarded cloth, place few cabinets around the room, and turned a lifeless house into a place with 灵魂.
Recently I chance upon info about 三毛, the pass on , talented Chinese writer. I have some impression of her name back in my childhood days. I am intrigued by what I found out about her. Any parents here having read her books before, to share what type of influence her books have on its readers?
Like Ms Liew, I read or listened to her 2 famous books in primary school too! \"Listened\" cos I struggled with those 繁体字 as a kid, so my mom had to read her novels as bedtime stories to us! I only enjoyed looking at those black and white photos she published in those novels.
My mom was a huge fan of 三毛, but I was not as I didn't like those Arabian/African tales, though I did eventually follow her footsteps to visit Spain Malaga (Picasso's birthplace) + Morocco (including riding camels and overnight camping in the Sahara Desert).
I am a bigger fan of the famous Shanghai comic series 三毛流浪记, which she took with her as a kid from Chungking to Taipei and from which she got her pen name. I do feel some affinity with her as she was born in Chongqing Nanshan. When I was working there more than 20 years ago, I used to drive up to Nanshan to eat my hotpot! Her 故居 as well as 蒋介石官邸 are up there. Both Mainland 浙江 and Taiwan 新竹 have her 故居 too. In fact, she has many 故居 around the world.
