      Hi,

Can ask the experienced hcp users… I tried to cook fish in my basic hcp yday & the skin sticks to the top layer after i flip… Anyone know why this is so?

Is it my pan not hot enuff or i need to put oil?

Btw, i didnt coat my pan before coz it was a gift from a fren from korea…didnt knw need to coat until i realised this thread… Already used it to cook few times… Too late to do coating?

After using and washed my happycall yesterday, found some scratch lines on it. I dunno what had caused the scratch cause i used wooden spatula and non scratch sponge to wash but is my pan still usable?

First, check whether the pan is genuine..

if it is, shouldn't worry too much.

reputable manufacturers wouldn't make cooking equipments so \"dangerous\" that a tiny scratch, which cannot be \"reasonably avoided totally\", render the equipment unfit for use..

the only concern may be the scratch part maybe less resistant to food sticking on it.

the coating is not supposed to be toxic.

          Hi limlim,

Thank you for replying. My pan is genuine so i can continue to use it.

Hi! Did you dry your fish well? I realised thru trial and error that the drier my food, the better the results!

Saw 3 happy call pan models at Isetan Katong too! Prices looked reasonable.

Some have shared that HCP is not suitable to use on induction/electric stove.

induction stove works better for iron/steel-based pans. HCP is Aluminium based.

                      Hi Pinkbear,

You can reference to our http://tinyurl.com/fakehappycall, to see if the pan at Jcube match the fake pan.

Btw Happycall Co. has issued notice on 23 Jul that they will take actions against fake Happycall seller which is a good thing. But do read our blog entry Fake vs Authentic to equip knowledge how to get the real deal.

                        Hi all,

I know many ppl who are interest in HCP asked similar questions. Can HCP be use on electrical stove? Ans is yes and no. They are three technologies that drive electrical stove.

                        1. Electrical Coil, this is the old technology which all of electricity is waste, glass cooking ware, HCP can be used on it

                        2. Induction, this is the most common electrical stove currently in the market, the principle is based on eddy current which require stainless steel, iron (ferrous) based cookware to work. HCP made of aluminium and glass cooking ware WILL NOT work on it.

                        3. Far Infrared, this stove is rather rare and not common here. This is the most efficient electrical stove that has heat transfer efficiency of 93%. HCP, stainless steel ware and glassware can be use on it.
