Which school will you choose? River Valley or St Marg ? reasons? I am deciding between the 2 schools. My gal is in k2 and boy in pre-nursery this year…

If there isn't any other considerations, I would choose River Valley because it is co-ed (correct me if I am wrong) so your younger boy would have no issue with P1 registration and also easier logistics on transport to and from school everyday.

        Just my 2 cents.

        😄

          push factor for St marg

          1) afflilated to St Marg Sec School and cut off point for PSLE is lower.
          2) system in st marg is not that stressful compared to neigbourhood primary school

There are 2 criteria to consider:

            1) you have older daughter and younger one is a boy
            2) affiliation vs co-Ed

Affiliation lessens your stress at PSLE…which is getting tougher every year. With lower cut off point (cop), it does help a little if you register your child at st Margaret.

If you register daughter successfully in st marg, headache arises when you gotta register for son. Bcos you will have to go for Phase 2C.

Hi, can someone care to explain what a DD and a DS are? These shortforms are all over but no explanation on what these mean. Sorry for this dumb question…

I didn't even know there is a list of acronym.
The commonly used ones are DD, DS, DH, DW - daughter, son, hubby and wife. Then there is DS1 or DD3. Lucky no DW2 or DH3. :rotflmao:

Thinking of getting a property close to ACSP /ACSJ to hopefully boost my boy’s chances of getting in there. However, my spouse is a Pei Chun ex-student we can get him in there under 2A

Should I take the risk of trying for ACS or just go under 2A to Pei Chun?

I came to know that the principal of my choice of school is leaving to join another school officially by sometime Q3 of this year. The principal could not advise me who will be the new replacement. Is there a way to find out?

I am rather satisfied with this school but now with this change, i may be overly concerned about what changes or impact that may bring to school by the new principal.
                      Any advise?

                      thanks alot

There will be some changes when new P arrives. That's for sure.
Either the new P will be hands-on (making sure kids are prepared for P1 or PSLE) or bochap (get your tutors to manage).
