      Hi phtthp,

You are very active on kiasu parent, btw thanks for the pointers you have given me, after reading the articles posted by other parents and also calling SSTA, I have make up my mind to forgo putting my gal at RGPS in 2A2 and go for 2C at Horizon Pri which is just a stone throw away from my block at Punggol, 90 mins to 120 mins on the road daily is no joke. SC PV to RGPS will have one more place in 2B.

                  Hi great mama,

                  A warm welcome to you.

My girl is in P1 this year.
The assessment for P1 consists of performance tasks and unit tests/review assessments. There are no CA1, SA1, CA2 and SA2 for P1 this year.

                  English :
Performance Tasks Term 2-15%, Term 3-15%, Term 4-20%
Review Assessment Term 2-15%, Term 3-15%, Term 4-20%

                  Mathematics:
Performance Tasks Term 2-10%, Term 3-10%, Term 4-10%
Review Assessment Term 2-20%, Term 3-20%, Term 4-30%

                  Mother Tongue :
Performance Tasks Term 2-20%, Term 3-20%, Term 4-25%
Unit Test Term 2-10%, Term 3-10%, Term 4-15%

I received letter from school on the format of P1 assessment in Jan 12 & the school also conducted curriculum briefing on English, Mathematics, Mother Tongue, Art & Music, PE, Character & Citizen Education in Feb 12.

At the start of each term (from term 2 onwards), I also received assessment details which list down the mode of assessment, components/content, overall weighting & which week the assessment will be held for each subject (i.e. English, Mathematics and Mother Tongue).

Hope this information is useful for you πŸ™‚

                    Hi,

I’m an old gal of RGPS and am currently considering if I should register my gal under Phase 2A2.

My greatest concern is the distance. Can anyone share how remedial classes are conducted in RGPS? Do the P1s and P2s have to take remedial classes?

                      Hi Angie,

P1 and P2 does not have remedial class at all.
The various learning support starts 1 hour b4 school hours.
