We may rank second in the list but at what price ? It will be good if our academic excellence is achieved within school hours and not after..... by the countless tuitions our kids are going through from core 4 subjects tuitions to Maths olympiad , creative writing , GEP preparation to IP / o levels tuition.

those are wholely unnecessary, and is 100% parents' choice

      Exactly.

:siam: šŸ¦† šŸ¦† :siam:[/quote]Ya, since they refuse to take over our roles as parents to provide good judgement and moderation for our children, they have completely failed their duty. šŸ˜‰

My sentiments too. Especially GEP preparation.

Correct me if i'm wrong. Wasn't GEP started for students who are truly and naturally gifted? Thot the intention was to develop the potential for these very high ability kids. But somehow, alongst the way, it just morphed into this \"monster\" where suddenly some parents feel that \"die-die\" their kids must try and qualify for GEP. Hence, the need to prep their kids - through tuition (but, of course) - for GEP qualifying tests.

I also hear of parents complaining of how they have to help their kids with their GEP projects. Whatever for?
