Wow.. You are a brave soul to try for phase 2C at Rosyth. The number of vacancy left as of now before phase 2A2 is 132 seats. If Phase 2C, even if there are no takers at 2A2, it would mean a max of 66 seats for Phase 2C (best case scenario but i dubt so). Historically, also ballot for within 1Km for phase 2C. You might want to standby to withdraw last minute if other schools of choice has vacancies.Hi chief KS and parents,
Pls advise....
I'm staying within 1km to rosyth. My mil who is the caregiver is staying at Balestier.
I'm intended to give it a try at rosyth. Which back up school shd I consider.
Cos after phase 2C, most likely schools like Hougang, xinmin, sjij are full.
Thanks. -

Vacancy: 240
Phase one : 72 taken (left with 168 seats)
Phase 2A1: 76 taken (left with 92 seats for Phase 2A2)
Phase 2A2 - will know evening of this Friday.
My guess is that there won't be much left after Phase 2A2 but who knows? -

Thank you! -
By the way, what are the chances for Fairfield Methodist Phase 2c (1 - 2km)?

Can anyone shed some light on how schools handle a vacanted place made by a last minute withdrawral under Phase 2B (made during Phase 2C registration time) ?
Is (or should) the vacanted place be added into phase 2C or is (or should) it
be given back to the Phase 2B unsuccessful applicants who would have already immediately placed their child's names in the particular school's waiting list once Phase 2B results are out ?
Just as an example (see below link), looking at the \"Notes\" under ACS(Junior) detail breakdown summary for P1 Enrolment from 2010 to 2012 (P1 Registration in 2009 to 2011 respectively) it seems that the former approach of adding the vacanted place (from Phase 2B) into Phase 2C is practised. Is it the official method to handle such vacanted place ?
If this is the official method used by all schools then wouldn't the successful Phase 2B applicant who had withdraw his/her place, or should it be the \"imperfect\" system, have indirectly \"robbed\" a Phase 2B parent of a place down the line .... ???

During P2C, if any successful applicant in earlier phases withdraws, the vacated place will go to P2C.Can anyone shed some light on how schools handle a vacanted place made by a last minute withdrawral under Phase 2B (made during Phase 2C registration time) ?
