For the course, you try calling KKH? Ask for their ENT centre

For insurance, hmm, not sure if you want to declare but if you don’t and they found out, they may void your plan. Do you have any close friends who are insurance agent who can help you? Or maybe just casually ask your own insurance agent and see what they say?

I have learned to be patient, expect her to need a lot of practice, and celebrate every advance, however small.

Thanks for inspiring us. I find this very true. However small the achievements, it is progress and a big leap for our kids

            Hi..

I've always wanted to help new parents who has a child that is newly diagnosed with ASD and need help of where and what they should start off with to help these lovely children..

I've have been working closely with parents on strategies on how to work with their child, how to make their learning successful and meaningful for each child. Each child is different and will need different approaches to cater their individual learning styles. No 2 children with autism is ever similar. For example, child A may has lesser meltdown, but isn't able to stay engaged with adult during play, child B may have many meltdowns, but is able to stay engaged with adult when he/she is calm.

Personally, I do not label a child as Autistic, but i choose to say the child has autism, because I see children as just children.

I have been happily working with young children from ages 2-6 years old diagnosed with severe, mild and even the high functioning ASD. I am currently doing private home based therapy on weekends. I would love to help any parents who need me to come to your house (preferably in North area) and help you structure your house according to your child's individual needs, and teach you skills and strategies to work with your child successfully, because I believe that at the end of the day, it is parents, the main care givers for each child that need to be fully equipped with strategies and skills to work with these special darlings.

If anyone needs help, do drop me an email at [email protected].

            Thanks..

Enjoy the video below.. Be inspired and keep believing that a child with autism can be successful in life. :grphug:

in fact many childcare, playgroup or primary school teachers are able to detect some ‘special’ children. From the Gifted ones or the opposite ones.

If Gifted ones, it is very easy to communicate to the parents and make the parents so happy.

If the opposite ones, how to inform the parents? not all people willing to accept the fact. Some worst, out of goodwill for informing, the parents instead withdraw the child from the school and start to talk bad things about the school thru forum.

Anyone heard about Bridge Learning centre? What do they do?

I heard their charges is very reasonable, less than $100 per session.

Yes, I attended the course in KKH. Is useful. Not sure why they would say is not suitable for ASD kids cos my boy has mild ASD.
