Still got tomorrow to go, don't know how many more will register tomorrow, so the # will only get lesser and lesser ... i think last yr, left over into 2B and 2C are 28 seats each... and 84 fighting for 28 seats under 2C. What's more, heard there was 1 triplets and 2 pairs of twins got balloted.. and that took up 7 seats in 2 ballot slips... :nunchuk:
THC, did you manage to get any information from you phone call to NHPS? Getting really nervous now!THC:
Hi Lonejean - really panic when you mentioned queue no was 159. i called NHPS to check but unable to find out immediately, she advised to call back 30min later for P2A2 updates.
Hopefully Mummy of 3 is correct, 240 less 159 = 81. :xedfingers:

The school of my choice has 119 vacancies for 2(A)2, I called today and 60 have registered. I have this feeling it will go to ballot. If that happens I will withdraw since I live more than 10 km from the school. Can anyone advise if this is a good idea? I understand that if lets say 120 or 121 kids apply for 119 places, management may take in all to save on balloting procedure ⦠can anybody confirm?
Thanks much -

By tonight or early tomorrow morning, the outcome for Day 1 should be reflected in MOE web already. I remember that was the case 2 yrs ago when I register for P2B in Nan Chiau PS.

Hmm.. My understadning is that we go by distance. If a;; 121 kids for that 119 places are n teh same distance category and also all are SC, then even if exceed by 1 application, all must ballot. Anyone else have a different understanding, please help enlighten. The school of my choice has 119 vacancies for 2(A)2, I called today and 60 have registered. I have this feeling it will go to ballot. I can understand why some parents felt getting balloted successfully is better than striking lottery now. Pretty unique Singapore experience.
Not really uniquely Singapore.
This is a growing trend in Asia, where parents get stressed to get their precious little ones into choice schools / kindergartens -
