I have not come across any mynmar that states the correct age on the passport. My 1st mynmar was 29 too, she was small built but later found out she was 33. My 2nd was 21 but she was so straight she told every one her real age alto her passport stated 25, well she did look older. My third mynmars passport stated 23 but u could see that she is definitely below 20, she looked very young, I found out that she was actually 17.


My last mynmar was a christian and claimed that she studied theology but shes crazy over beer and sneeks out to drink beer with some malay guy.
My aunts mynmar maid claim her dad is a pastor but shes downright rude, stubborn and answers back. She too read the bible and pray b4 she eat even in public, my aunt caught her with a h/p and left the gate open to meet up with guys.

so daring to fake their ages?? Very sianz... The maids these days are out to hv fun rather than helping their families out. They forget their purpose for coming out to work.

I am still pondering whether to change this one for an indo helper. My 2 yr old likes her but the 2 older ones r not keen on her. And I am not keen on her holding the hp daily. My mum said what if she is talking on Hp and neglects my 2 yr old when I am out??

I hv asked her agent to market her out 2 days ago. Maybe someone would be willing to take her along with the Hp. If not she can go home after aug.

Btw Burmese maids eat a lot? I meant a lot n a lot!! Mine seemed to consume a lot of rice even my mum was alarmed at the volume she can pile on her plate. The amt of food she eats reminds me of the construction workers but those I can understand coz they need the energy to be out in the hot sun for 10 to 12 hrs everyday.

Lie about age. Whenever I walk past the agencies I see many who clearly are underage. Sometimes I tell them so right in their face, sometimes I ask them their ages. Each time I am proven correct.

Indon maids also use hp. My FDW's friends and acquaintences all on hp.(Mine is exception, she wants to save the $. Also I let her use housephone so she doesn't need hp).

Indon maids also have bfs eg look at the murder cases. Also my friend's Indon maid's bf slept in her house while family was on holiday!! :yikes:

Hi, anyone knows where I can buy air tix to Myanmar? Is getting the air tix at Peninsula Plaza cheaper than getting online? I realised not many budget airlines fly to Myanmar except Jetstar.

As far as I know, Jetstar gives the cheapest rate. I managed to send back 2 Burmese maids at a special rate of $200+. It was a buy one get one free offer.


Check out Jetstar website, sometimes they have special offer and special rates for certain dates. I managed to find rates as cheap as $154 on certain days.

I just sent maid back few weeks ago. Went online to book jetstar one way to yangon, paid total around S$180. There were a lot of this and that added to come up to this price. Use credit card also have surcharge etc.

Fattymum… Yup all eat rice to the max. Wonder how come they dnt grow fat , they also love to pinch frm the fridge, chocolates, pnut butter, sweets etc…All my 3 mynmars ate more rice than construction workers. I did explain that they need not consume so much as they are not doing hard labour… They did cut down but still consume more than any other nationality.

I think the h/p should nt be used during working hours unless ur maid needs to make emergency calls. Urs may hv got hooked by now, think u got to hold the h/p and pass it back in the evening or when kids are not at home. …she can ask for it when she need to make important calls.

dont send the maid back during December, I couldnt get a cheap flight and date, I had to pay $365 and thats the chepest on 27th dec. Mynmar airlines. Off peak period in March I paid 214 for my other maid.

U know she was very insistent on holding the Hp.. Then I tried to talk sense to her that over the weekends from sat to mon shld be sufficient but she said she cannot contact her family during weekends. Of I know that her reason is nonsensical.

As I hv 3 girls, youngest being 2 years old I reluctantly relented. I decided after sleeping over the matter a week now, it is best she is transferred to a family who does not mind her having the hp on a daily basis.

To be honest, I can't concentrate fully on anything on hand if I am speaking on the phone much less them. I used to make sure if I buy breakfast or lunch for the girls, I buy something for her too. Now I can't be bothered w the extra bread talk or curry puff.
