You an save electricity but using fan instead of aircon but f you are using aircon, dont turn it to 18 degree, use it at 24 is good enough.

And also service your aircon regularly.

Personally, the ceiling fan provides one of the best electricity savings. They also come in all sort of designs, sizes and prices to suit different needs.

I used to live an aircon lifestyle. But now, I enjoy more of the fresh of air, sunny afternoon breeze, and cool night winds - under the gentle quiet breath of ceiling fans.

Of course, if you stay next to an expressway, busy road/street or needs the privacy of a closed/curtained window - aircon becomes a necessity.

Ever considered ceiling fans but did not follow up as it requires me to relocate the existing lighting or buy those fans with light fitted on it. Not really what I wanted as the whole setup will dangle quite low since the ceiling isn’t that high.

Ever consider getting a wall fan then ?

Got one installed in one room, either a Mit or KDK. Find the wind noise rather high even at low speed.

Talking about fans, can someone help me – not sure if it is my imagination but I think my wall fan is not as effective as before. initially, power 1 is good enough. After two years, power 1 like cannot make it, need power 2. Recently, I realise power 2 also like not good enough… haven’t ‘upgrade’ to power 3 yet, cos I find it too noisy. Is there such thing as deterioration in performance when it comes to fan? Like power 1 cannot make it already?

I supposed the effectiveness deteriorate over the yrs, but certainly not noticeable after just 2 yrs.

Perhaps how that the weather has 'cooled' down, u will find it OK again. 😉
