I think AB snapped when she read cherryc's bit on wanting \"civilized\" discourse. It was interpreted as \"the alternative camp\" being uncivilized. Actually, I think it was cherryc merely wished to respond to VKS2010's \"rubbish\" remark. So... that ONE spark \"rubbish\" lead to a SECOND spark \"uncivilized\"... and a fire began again.

There was wrong on both sides.


Somewhere, we are reasonable people and do in fact meet in the middle. Even Becontented's posts, once clarified, don't look as unkind as I thought they were. Even limlim has acknowledged a \"bad idea\"

I'd like to please clarify that I did not write my long post because I \"snapped.\" Because we have never met and you do not know me, it may have seem so. But to my cyber (referring to those who have met me and keep in touch with me regularly via sms and meet ups) and personal friends, I am not known as the sort of person who \"snaps.\" And even if I
happened to have lost my cool, the last thing I will do is to start typing a post in response

I wrote it because I wanted to set the record straight on my part and allow those who wish to, to ponder upon my views. And no, lest you think now you have 'offended' me by using the word, let me assure you that you have not like I said, I just want to clarify this and set the record straight.

There may be wrong on both sides, Chen. But I can also say that if you
read the posts closely, you will notice that some SAY it as some SEE it . No maliciousness, no false sweetness, no hidden agenda behind the words.

Some of us do not feign ignorance when pushed to a corner.

Some of us do not even impose our views when we cross over to other
threads (not referring to the assignment one) and try to influence those who may not REALLY be aware of what this discussion is all about. I am beginning to understand what vk meant when he mentioned something to the effect of information not reflecting the true scenario when we post
sweeping statements (my interpretation, not quoting from him) in one of his many posts.

BTW, I have grown to appreciate vk's style of writing and I reckon I am beginning to understand limlim's too.
