you will be penalised by one category, i.e. 1km of your parents' address is treated as between 1 to 2 km of your address, per MOE policy on this use of parents' address

You may change the address in the NRIC, provided you genuinely stays with your parents. The purpose of your change should not be just so you can qualify within 1 km of the school during P1 registration.

If your own flat is a HDB flat, you will have explanation to do why you are not staying in your own flat.

You don't need original documents to withdraw application from the school.

Are we given any letter or form after the statutory declaration to bring to the school on day of registration? Or nothing given at all? The address used for registration will be updated in the system which the schools have accessed?

Hi, MOE will give you the statutory form filled up by parent and caregiver duly signed and stamped. You are suppoesd to bring this plus caregiver NRIC on the day of registration.

I failed the statutory declaration today. Reason being they say my mother is not consider caregiver for my daughter. My daughter is currently in childcare now. But next yr, she will be under my mum’s care when she goes primary 1, which is why i want to enroll her in the sch near my mum place. MOE officer told me the criteria is my mum shd be the main caregiver currently, not in future when she enroll in primary 1.
Anyone face such situation before?
Kindly advise. V desperate now as the registration is near.

I have done statutory declaration. However, I was thinking of not using this address for P2B. Unless if I do not get the place in P2B, then when I register for P2C, then I use the address that I declare in the SD. Will there be any issues on this?

In what circumstances that 1km dist of parent’s address will be treated as 1 to 2km?

Currently, I am staying with my sister and I’ve changed my address to hers as I’ve rented out my house. Does this put me to the above category of <1km to 1-2km? Do I need to make a Statutory Declaration? Thank you
