Then come back to look at the slots for 2B for Bukit Merah schools again.....

You are right! Actually, for schools in Bukit Merah, the take-up rate so far has been the same as in previous years.

Looking at RMPS, 50+ is for Phase 2B, that means balance 50+ (number will be bigger if not all vacancies are taken in Phase 2B) is meant for 2C. That means a high chance for balloting even for less than 1km. Am I right?

Maybe someone withdrew and no one updated the board as the registration staff will only return today for 2B.

So....MOE information more accurate than school? :scratchhead: The notice was only put up on Monday and the MOE website was already updated last Friday (on the no. of applicants and vacancies).

For the last three years, only those staying within 1 km got into the school during P2C.

As for P2B, supply was greater than demand.

No. The data I posted is last night version.

Last Friday MOE will only show number registered, as they have not check through the registration.

Last evening, MOE updated their post to show 2B vacancies.

I saw somewhere in the forum that the principal from ZDPS was recently changed, and she is previously from QPS. Can anyone throw me some light as in what such statements are trying to imply? How important is the principal in the choice of a pri school?

I was a bit torn between GESP and ZDPS. Both are within 1km. GESP is a few min walk away while ZDPS need to take school bus. Other than distance, which is a better choice for Phase 2C? Is it necessary to do PV? :?

Both of the schools you have mentioned was in my consideration list as well

Have went to both GEPS and ZDPS Open House, and after considering, we are going to opt for ZDPS, which is why we have applied to be PVs there. May I know which year your child will be registering for P1? Cos' for ZDPS, PV application has closed for children registering in 2013 for 2014 intake.

GEPS do not have the priority application via PV route, as they have a strong PSG network already

Based on past history of balloting results, ZDPS has the risk of balloting if you stay > 1km at Phase 2C, while GEPS has no problems at Phase 2C.
