Anybody have Science PSLE revision guide by Marshall Cavendish?
Is it good?
Thanks. -

I have an old copy bought 2 years ago. It's very comprehensive and highly recommended. Unfortunately, due to the change in syllabus, it becomes more difficult to use this book as effectively as before. But I still use this as reference guide for my daughter.Anybody have Science PSLE revision guide by Marshall Cavendish?

I bought science guide book (box set type) by EPH from popular yesterday. Is it the same as the ultimate science?

They only have the lower block workbook, I don't think Upper block is out yet.James Ang:
There is a change of syllabus so some of the all time favourites are not available yet, such as the \"My Pals Are Here\" workbook. Remember to buy the new syllabus assessment books for PSLE Science. CASCO and EPH science assessments are ok. Generally buy only publisher titles, which are updated and new syllabus. I don't trust some tuition centre titles which are sometimes not up-to-date as their strength is in teaching and not publishing. (Imagine a doctor who also produces his own medicine, pills and mixtures.) I usually update my own teaching materials regularly for the new syllabus and use carefully selected assessment books and suitable guides as supplementary materials.
Thanks for sharing JamesAng!
I have EPH Ultimate Science Guide (lower & upper block), thinking of buying the workbook. Is it good to use this workbook to go along with the guide book as revision for PSLE? TIA! -

The orange colour cover book by My Pals are here, but I have not seen the revised new syllabus edition yet. That's why many of the \"favourites\" are not out yet, but the old books may confuse the students because simple machines and solar system are out of syllabus.

Previously, out of syllabus science guides were sold at $1 or $2 at bookfairs. I agree with Lizawa that old science books does still give adults use as reference, but for students, let them use the new syllabus ones so that they won't get confused. -

The new revision is out already. I bought it last week at a school book shop - this book is included in my son's P5 book list.
I've already got the old version so I was very reluctant to get it, but since it's not an optional item in the book list, no choice. -
Is this orange book contains the latest syllabus?

There is another but comes with exam papers.

The orange My Pals guidebook that I bought recently for my soon-to-be p5(2010) was in the booklist from school, so I presume it's the current syllabus. Anyway, the new syllabus for science started with the current batch of p5(2009) who will be taking psle next yr in 2010, so the guidebook in stores should be current lah. Not sure if you buy from 2nd-hand bookstores - that one have to check publication date/edition.

I have many Science guide books and they are not cheap. Even though MOE exclude Solar System & Simple Machines, I think students can still use them at home, not just parents. Just skip those 2 topics.
Yes, that orange book was listed as optional but it was too expensive, close to $20; I didn't buy it. -

Ok, I went to EPH website and saw that I bought the wrong guide book.
