All About Getting Priority Registration

Does anyone know if there's any priority for grassroots over PV parents in P2B? Or both have same priority? (assuming both are citizens and stay with 1km of the school)
As for PV vs Grassroots, both equal opportunity at Phase 2B BUT if both fail at the ballots, PVs stand a higher chance in the the waiting list (appeal) than grassroots or clan members coz they directly served the school. -
Changing address for the purpose of P1 registration. I think the MOE should look into this matter. It is not logical at all. Imagaine the actual place of stay is in the west but just because of the branded school (top ten) in the east they can crazily spending hours traveling and troubling themselves to seek relevant authority to change the address. I am very sorry for the little boy that I know.

Citizenship is for the child, not parents. -

Today's ST has a parent writing in to ask for abolishing of Phase 2A: http://www.straitstimes.com/STForum/Sto ... 23421.html
Priority for citizens not effective enough ..

In life, we cannot please everyone. The ones who don't get it will say it is not fair and that teh system is broken. The ones who have it say that it is working and that it is the right way.
Surely there are other schools that are within 1km besides Ai Tong right? I also wonder if she would be crying foul over the system if the school within 3 mins' walk is a neighbourhood school and not Ai Tong. -

Ahhhh.... but this depends on wheather I can afford the real LV. If i cannot afford it, then i will buy pasar Malam handbag instead of just complaining that I cannot get LV because i cannot afford it. Same theory. even if i can afford real LV bag but if the limited edition bag is sold out, tough luck. Complain also no use right? buy another bag. -
Active rc member n pv plays a much bigger role and serve the neighborhood n school directly. for alumni, what do they contribute other than study in that school before? Some of them dont stay in that estate but they are sending their child to that estate just because they are from that school n the residents who stayed there would not get their child to that school n the poor child has to travel further to go to another school. This system does not seems to be right.
