Herbie:
Hmm. if that's the case, does it mean that some geppers will go thro formal interview and some informal? really strange. :scratchhead:Nygh allocated four days for the dsa interview with geppers perhaps
that is the reason why they hv small group (6 pax) formal and big group (p20
pax) informal arrangement for the interview session. -
charsen:
I heard if RI doesn't send email reg. selection test, means not shortlisted and no notification sent for rejected pupils.
That's true and RI has sent out all shortlisted emails for all domains yesterday.
all the best to the kids.

The girls will only get to attend one session. It is either the formal or informal session.
Juz curious... Why is there formal & informal group? Will the gals get the chance to attend both? If not how they allocate who to go which group? :?Herbie:

I m also not sure how nygh allocate who to go for which grouping. -
Herbie:
Maybe big group is the one with very good SA results (eg av high 8xs%) so no need to speak much with them more or less will give CO, while small group is the undecided batch ie must find out more to check them out and some will not be offered. Just a guess.

Snow Crystal:
Nope! my dd has a friend who scored closed to 90% in SA 1 and she is in the 6 pax group.

I didn't change the DSA interview but I requested the MT Society to reschedule as lot of their students are also having the same problem so they are trying to arrange an alternative date. I didn't hear anything from them yet but I am calling them & chasing them for the confirmation.
My DD is appearing for RGS DSA.
My friends' sons and my DS came out of the hall looking dazed n tired after the 2 1/2 hr test. :frustrated: Think quite tough to get in through HAST, only 90 seats, half already reserved for their feeder boys.
What's the difficulty of the HAST paper? some of the boys from DS's GEP class commented that it wasn't so easy.3G:
Hi PSLE Mums and Dads!
I'm a newbie, just hopped over from registration site : )
Looks like excitement is brewing with so many children being called up for interviews at RI, RGS etc. I feel excited for you just by reading your posts.
For my DS, still pending..He applied only to ACSI and it's a relatively easier process. Just do HAST, submit portfolio and personal statement and WAIT for result.
Yes, interestingly the GEP boys said it wasn't that easy. My DS (not GEP) said that English was the defining paper, he took a while to decide on the best options, while Math and Abstract Reasoning were relatively manageable, especially Math. His friend who also did the HAST at NJC said it was much easier than ACSI's.
We signed up for the test on 22 June, there were 480 boys who did the test in the hall. Not sure what was the attendance for the other two test dates.
