and what is your solution and action plan besides hating ?

In view of rising medical costs.

      1. Reduce the restriction on medisave usage. Allow use for ALL hospitalization charges (A&E admission etc..), even outpatient.

      2. Reduce the deductible portion for medishield claims. Make it a more manageable amount, like, $100~$500. Reduce Co-Payment amount to maybe 2% ~ 5%.

hmm Am I raiding the reserves.....?

Ask the higher income to donate part of their salary?

Our ministers are earning big bucks to govern a little red dot. There are many poor people like the Lims. Have they slipped through the fingers or ignored? Rising medical costs as well as food. It may not be possible to help each and everyone, but it's really heartbreaking to see this old couple having to take an hour to reach home.

        That is sad...

Not being able to use CPF is just ridiculous…

Isn’t CPF supposed to provide for elderly??? Above certain age, say, 65yo, they should allow CPF to pay for medical expenses at polyclinics and hospitals…

COE is already $60K and you have not even bought the 4 wheels.
Next COE will show a more drastic dip.
I'm staying at home more to avoid the crowd...really terrible phobia seeing so many people...rooted to the floor holding on to hubby's hand.

I feel they should allow unrestricted use of ownself or child's medisave to pay for medishield premiums. And not cap at, say, only $800.

They should also allow deduction from more than 1 medisave account to pay for the premiums.

And allow use of medisave to pay for riders to cover the deductibles and co-payment..

in summary, ALLOW the use of one's and kin's OWN MONEY to take care of their medical bills.. unless.. medisave is NOT own money.. then.. my argument is flawed..
