Cat in the Hat Learning Library series introduce non-fiction contents e.g. animals, weather, life cycle etc to beginner readers... The books are written by different authors, but they did not forget Dr Seuss's usual style of wacky stories and funny sentences...autumnbronze:

Does it make a difference if publised in UK or US?...[/quote]It's not a secret, it's from fishpond website, similar to bookdepository.
There are words that are spelt different in UK and US English like UK it's favourite, colour, labour but in US English, it's favorite, color and labor. There are differences in some English terms too like UK English it's tap, petrol, etc but in US English it's faucet, gasoline, etc. I'm told there are slight differences in grammar too but I'm not so well-versed in the study of Eng language to provide examples. In school, UK Eng is being taught.
I'm not sure if you have noticed but there are UK and US version of Harry Potter. I'm a supporter of UK version LOL. The same for the shopaholic series. There are others I guess but these are the 2 series that I know.
I doubt the kids will be confused but I make sure that dd1 uses UK Eng in her spelling.
