25 SC = 1Km
20 SC = 1-2 km
6 SC = Beyond 2 km.
Looks like the PR have to go into balloting. 52 Vacancies (Phase 2B) -

R u talking abt RMPS. If so I hope there only 51 vacancies for P2B if iam not wrong. Then it means that all the vacancies r taken up by SC? No chance of balloting for PRs? -

Yup, based on my future address, I'll be within the 1-2km range. I had chosen ZDPS to do my PV as we liked what we saw during Open House, and after my first session of PV today, we are more or less sure we would want to opt for ZDPS for our DD.My kid will be the 2014 intake. You are in the 1-2km range?
I have submitted the PV application, but as I stayed < 1km , I am wondering if there is really a need for me to perform the duties. As you have said, the past history showed that balloting only occurs >1km for Phase 2C. But also understand that there are alot of new flats around ZDPS.. so... :lightrod:
Do you have any idea how many PVs are there for the 2013 and 2014 intake? Last time I heard was only about 10+, which is consider low is it? Wondering if the reason behind the low number of PV is because everyone is living <1KM and not seeing the need??
From what I heard from the VP who will liaise with the PVs for upcoming activities, there are around 20 volunteers for the 2014 enrolment intake (registration in 2013). The number is not exactly very low, but it's probably not as high as some other schools around
If I do read the preferences correctly, most parents in Bukit Merah area do prefer RMPS or CHIJ Kellock, as their academic results have always been stronger. I'm not too sure if CHIJ Kellock does accept PVs, but I believe Catholic affiliation will automatically qualify the child under Phase 2B. I believe the number of PVs in RMPS number around 50-60 each year? Based on this year's enrolment results, I think RMPS is very likely to go through balloting even at Phase 2B already.

FYI: At 4pm I took #34 for Kelock Under 2Bβ¦
Lots more space!
Question: Since my child has a confirm space in 2B can I decide to cancel and move to another school under 2C? (If I find that the other school has a chance of getting in) -
Any update abt RMPS reg the no of SC and PRs? Balloting for whom?

Yes, you may. However, you will need to withdraw your registration from your confirmed place in 2B before registering for another school under 2C.FYI: At 4pm I took #34 for Kelock Under 2B....

I mean including 5 PR. ie there are 58 SC (at rmps) -
Thank snggk. Where did u get the info abt the no of SCs and PRs? Is the school providing such info if enquired? So it means that PRs donβt even get a chance for balloting?
