Ichigokun, there is no such thing. My nephew is in Chongfu. His parents did not donate anything to Chongfu.
Sorry. My bad xD
I heard my mom say that it's because if you want your child to get into Chongfu, you have to donate something like a computer or sth.Ichigokun:
Hi, where can I find Chong Fu last years PSLE Result? I wonder why Northland
is more popular than Chong Fu this year?
If you want to enter Northland, there are no conditions. -
HyperKiasu:
There's this Russian chessmaster that went to Northland to teach lessons. This year Northland was awarded by Singapore Chess Federation as \"Best School In Chess\". :rahrah:
Have your kids started to learn chess?
Even the canteen tables in Northland has chess boards imprinted on them... -
Ichigokun:
Are all the kids given the chance to learn chess or only some?

Yes, all kids are given the option to learn during the 2/3-day camps organized every school holiday. Through that camp, they would then shortlist children who are interested and have potential and invite them to join the chess club even before they reach P3. It’s up to the parents whether they want to enrol the children in the camp though…

Hi, any parents have any comments/experience on BASC next to Northland? Its run at by STA (Tamil Association).
The next nearest one at Yishun Safra is not operating its student care anymore.
(my preference). -
TSL:
Hi 3greatkids,
Thanks for your advice.
Actually I had checked on MOE website that I can use the Sales & purchase agreement of The Canopy EC to register in Yishun.
Yes. I know that the chance of transferring to Northland after P1 study in Pasir ris primary is very low. That's why I'm in dilemma whether to try my luck on Northland during Phase 2C.
But the problem now is sending/fetching issue.
Hi TSL,
the alternate option in Pasir Ris, is it popular?
else i might suggest u try Phase 2C with your S&P (within 1km rite?), if u din get too lucky, then fall back on phase 2C supp in Pasir Ris.
I am of similar case, actually i started PV at northland, did like close to 20hrs, but I am 1.05km away sadly fall in 1-2km , i reckon my chance are slim since was 60+ PV, tat time no priority for SC compared to PR, so i dropped PV.
Was considering PeiYIng. but so happened we got a unit in Puggol late next yr.
So moving to Punggol Q22014 (TOP).
Im gg to register for Horizon tmr, using S&P address.
I was also in dilemma then, coz first yr & more I need to travel between Yishun-Punggol..
I was either choosing the travelling or xtr mid-way.
But i tot not to interfere the kid's habit, so i choose to travel.
and luckily HOrizon hv a in-house student care, so still quite a good option for me (just hope i could get in, rather HOT too).
so u hv to decide fast!! tmr is the last day.. good luck to you
