        Hi Jamesbond,

The question tests on the understanding of the functions each part plays.

        (1) is out as the gullet is a muscular tube, hence the heading \"Does not have muscles\" cannot be used to classify it.

        (2) is the correct answer

        (3) is out as the stomach and small intestine does not store undigested food, while the gullet transports partially digested food.

        (4) is out as the stomach does not absorb food into the bloodstream.

        Hope it helps!

                  Hi Jamesbond,

I would say (4), since the germination is in a dark cardboard, so the food in the seed leaf would all be used up.

                  Hope it helps!

                      Hi Jamesbond,

I think the answer depends on the definition for \"completion of germination\".

At higher level, germination is deemed to have completed when the radicle (root) appears. With this definition, the answer should be A & B.

In most primary level materials, germination is shown to be completed when first pair of real leaves open up. For this definition, A, B, C will be the most appropriate answer.

Finally, I have also come across some assessment books and teachers stating that germination is completed when the seed leaves withered and dropped off. With that, A, B, C, D is the best answer.

I will pick A, B & C as the answer as that is the most commonly found definition for completion of germination i.e. when the first pair of leaves open up. Maybe you would like to check with the text book to confirm which definition is taught in primary school.
