Told you it going to be exciting!

5 for the running! So 24 space left for SCGS. Let's share!

I thought I saw they have 30 places for P2B on MOE website how come now only 24 places for P2C?

You missed the boat of fun. Read and you will know the number is 24.

Nope zakashi … I wouldn’t actually. I have integrity. What about you? I believe in playing within the rules… Either you buy at that address rightfully by investing the money, and therefore earn the right to send your kid to the school in question or just send your kid where your true registered address is. It’s simple as that. Anything else is underhanded and will be punished if found out will be severely punished.

If I am not wrong, if u use grandparents/ caregivers’ add, you are classified under 1-2km whether the caregiver’s hse is next to the sch. So I think not likely to get balloting chance at all. Unless you change your residential add, I think it is not a good bet.

Btw, I think there are many parents who may not be tuning into this chain of conversation. So we actually have no idea how many potential applicants there are for P2C SCGS this year. I am really hoping that the PR exclusion for this exercise is truly effective. Highly doubtful though. 😓

Risky to change your residential address if it is not your legal abode. It’s easy to find out believe me, other parents are always snooping around and it can be extremely humiliating if discovered. Horror stories of kids being kicked out of the school when discovered and parents facing prosecution too.

Removing the PR element is going to have little to no effect. Singaporeans are your competition. 29 vacancies at 2c is the least it's been as far as published data goes . If you don't get in, then by the time it goes into 2c supp there will be no more spaces left even at plan B school, as this time round PR would have registered there at 2c phase itself after all the SCs more than 2km have got in. So we going to have to look at plan C ie reject schools which still have 50percent places when school term starts.. Quite scary this is our child's future.
Anyway good luck all those trying.

Good idea to deconflict... at least we can get an idea of what our chances are... and whether it's worth risking our child's future on a ballot.. Unfortunately, I've just got back from a birthday party and found another 4 parents less than 1km applying at 2c. Also, over heard one mom saying she was going to use her parents address for application. This freaked me out... Surely can get into a lot of trouble if found out.... What do you guys think?

6 plus 4 more from the party makes 10
Anyway the party, is it in a condo near scgs? Haha!!! Make sense if they all live in the same estate.
