Do u soak the laundry with detergent overnight & rinse off the soap b4 putting them to wash in the WM?
Any other shorter way to ensure clothes are clean without the soaking? -
slmkhoo:
Me too.
Unless your clothes are very dirty, I think there's no need to soak. I don't soak, and I use the shortest wash available (about 30 mins) and our clothes seem fine. I only soak stained items or sweaty sports clothes overnight before washing.babycutie71:

However, I do soak the bed sheets / blankets for a few hours or overnight before putting them to wash in the WM.

Think I got 'brain-washed' by my mum that all clothes have to be soaked overnight, else it is not clean.Do u soak the laundry with detergent overnight & rinse off the soap b4 putting them to wash in the WM?

During days with maid, my maids will soak the clothes in pails, separating them by white and coloured. After becoming maidless, I continue to soak but cut corners by soaking them in the washing machine instead  . The next morning I let the water rinse off by doing a spin with the machine door open (my WM is top-load), so it does not actually spin the clothes. Then I will start the normal cycle when the dirty water is drained. -
Daranic,
Like u, my mum also said that clothes must soak overnight b4 wash. And maid did that all the time. Now, maidless, it is time consuming to do so. Worst, mine is a front loading machine so canβt use yr method of soaking. There is a prewash function but I am not sure how to use it.
Anyone with front loader? How to use the prewash function? -
Hi, there's a Phillips airfryer thread where other users and I shared our comments. You can take a look.

Dear mummies, how do you get your hubbies to chip in? I feel that Iβm already doing Soo much so when hubby remarked that he is tired from work when asked to do some housework, I feel like roaring at him!Iβm working and I need to do housework as well as looking after the kid!but I know if I do so, we will just end up feeling frustrated with one another but Iβm really very angry!

Got. He chips in to pay :rotflmao: :rotflmao:
I handles 90% of the housework , child handles maybe 5% and hubby 5%. I pay 10% of the expenses, he pays 90%. Fair right? -
Thatβs a good idea, imami! When I ask him to do household chores, it is either half hearted done or else his "ok" will be days or weeks later. So I end up doing them, but still feeling frustrated!now, I will direct this anger else where!make him foot my new roomba! Just wondering for those with roomba, what happens to your vaccum cleaner and magic clean broom? Too many items cluttered in the store room already
