Wah jia lut ACS junior ballot liao! This year parents go all out to try. Going forward ACS j very fierce! Barker no hope ; too limited vacancies

        Phtthp,
Where did you get the info that acs junior has to ballot? My understanding is no balloting at all, and all 54 seats are taken up by <2km.

Just called ACSJ and confirm that there will be balloting for those >2km.. 22 applicants for 1 vacancy.. In God's favour, 1 blessed child will be given the seat :xedfingers:

I called rvps and was told that within 2km no balloting needed. That means I got a place in it. But I am in two minds as I am afraid that the stress level is high there. I am actually considering pulling out and try my luck on zhangde pri or cantonment pri. My impression is that these 2 schools not so stressful.

Any parents can shed some light on the stress level of rvps? I heard that rvps stream the kids every year base on their results, meaning they may not be in the same class with their friends. Is this true?

Congrats! :celebrate: We are in the same category! πŸ™‚ do u know how many pax outside 2Km need to ballot? I forgot to ask as I was too excited to hear within 2km don't need to ballot during the call to RV :scratchhead:

I heard the same stuff that every kid will be stream yearly based on results too. Same case as for Radin Mas? I think it is especially for the top 3 classes? Something like u can be in the first class this year, but if your result falls, u will drop to the 2nd class or so the following yr? Something like that?

In a way, it may be good to be regroup to be with peers of th same standard and everybody can learn at the same pace?? Not sure how it will go too but I chose RV becoz I like the school environment and comparatively, i feel that their students are more well behaved.

Nonetheless, I have heard good reviews abt Cantonment Primary Sch from my DS's friends' parents, as the bulk of his schoolmates goes there.

There are still time to consider and think πŸ™‚ all the best! ^_^

Outside 2km - 19 applicants will be balloting for 11 seats at RVPS.

Probably, there is a withdrawal?

not sure about that.. just called to ask about the P2B registration outcome and was told that balloting will be carried out for >2km..

anyway, MOE's website has published those schools that need to carry out balloting.. http://www.moe.gov.sg/education/admissions/primary-one-registration/balloting/

Ok I clocking some credits here. πŸ™‚

                        Called acs jr and confirmed.

remember my previous post on 20 jul afternoon.
                        initial update: 40 within 1km (38 SC 2 PR)
this number eventually increased to 43 within 1km and 11 1-2km. at end of registration.
Hence 43+11 = 54 seats. but! 1of the 43 is a PR. (42 SC 1 PR). Hence that seat has to be taken out for out of 2km to ballot.

Honestly that was the question some parents were asking previously, why are the 2 PR (initially, 1 must have withdrawn knowing his chances) get to keep their seats. and sch also announced no balloting required. I was puzzled but too relieved to think much then.

The staff has confirmed that the 1 PR place has to be given out for the lottery draw. πŸ™‚

hope this helps to clear the confusion.

Info is accurate as dbl checked with sch. πŸ™‚
