My DD 2nd round is on 28 Jul. I think if you had been selected, should received email by now. Maybe you can call them to check whether have they send out all emails already ? Good Luck ! -

Dear fellow βin waitingβ parents, I just called the SST, apparently not all emails have been sent out. They are sending email in batches for different dates of 2nd screening. There will be another wave of emails late this week or early next week. I am not very sure how many email batch they are sending in total. Good luck!

For o-levels I think it is enough as long as your child pays attention in class as all the important things are taught if not there is also a sst google site for us students to get all the notes the teacher uses.Caroline123654:
Hi i am a student from sst feel free to ask me any questions regarding sst.
How do you find the school so far?
Is the curriculum sufficiently vigourous to prepare the students for the GCE 'O' Levels. I am asking this becos it is still a new school and its students have not taken the GCE 'O' Levels yet.
There is a parent at kiasuparents also complained that his kid is so engrossed with his learning device (laptop) - not to study but to play games.
Do you see this problem being widespread in SST.
One last question. I went for the Parents' seminar back in April. When I heard the V Principal's speech, I am not impressed by her manner of speaking. She seemed to \"speaking down\" to the audience. Is she a difficult person to deal with?
Thanks.
Well for computer gaming lets just say that there are not much ppl who are that engrossed but sure there are just this few who are that addicted to gaming. Most of the boys in my class play Minecraft a lot but they won't do it at school and most are not that addicted.Only 1 boy in my class is very addicted to games until he dosen't have enough rest but the teachers are trying to help him. For use of macbook it depends on 1 self control, its up to him to play games till he is addicted or just a little it all boils down to himself.
As for the vice principals, she rarely talks to us or gives announcement so I am not so sure but for the principal no he is quite a friendly guy. -

Yes i am very keen to enter nus high as I am keen of the NUS High diploma, unlike SST where we would end up in o-levels but who knows maybe they might become a Ip programme school in the future too.Caroline123654:

Sorry for me asking. I read in the NUSH thread that you are in Y1 SST but then are actually keen to join NUSH Y3 ??? :?
I personally fell that SST is a school currently fully geared towards O-levels,even some of the science we do now are sec 3 chem/bio/physics topics.Unlike NUS High where you graduate and get the nus high diploma.
So join SST if you prefer a school good for preparing you for O-levels and JC. -
Got the email today, my ds is selected for the 2nd round screening on Aug 4.
Good luck for those who are doing the selection process tomorrow and for those who are still waiting.
