Does anybody know if schools still give priority to citizen during phase 3 or every kids will go through balloting?

If your child still doesn't get a school at by the end of P2CS, MOE will contact you. You will have two choices - nominate schools that still have vacancies then or leave it to MOE to assign a school to your child. SCs will not be involved in Phase 3.

Thanks for providing below information on balloting ratio for SV phase 2C. However, my question is the balloting for within 1 km? or 1-2km?

SV pass year for Phase 2c
        2011
Vacancy 21 No of children registered 102 (Ratio 1:4.85)

        2010
Vacancy 33 No of children registered 121 (Ratio 1:3.66)

        2009
Vacancy 51 No of children registered 126 (Ratio 1: 2.47)

Balloting history shows that SV has balloting within 1 km for phase 2C.

            Hi,

May I know is there a link showing me past statistic for CCK pri school?

Cos I am thinking should I try balloting in Phase 2C in South View and if failed, go try CCK pri in Phase 2C Supp.

BTW, I am within 1 km of these 2 schools.

              Hi CrispyApple,
i am in the same situation as you. Doesnt knw want to try south view anot. Quite worry if cant get in SV, CCKPS might have seats for Phase 2C supp but should be very limited seats already. Maybe need to ballot again. 😞

My boy is in SVPS P2 this year. My gal will be joining P1 next yr.

So, far I have no complains abt the sch. Many ppl seems to say it is very academic but I think they have a well balanced program – speech & drama where parents get invited to watch the class play (I just did last wk), dance (each level will learn a diff type of dance each year) and perform during sch open hses etc, cooking class etc, sports etc. Early this year my boy took part in story telling competition….even though he didn’t win I think it helps to boost his confidence in public speaking.

Every year, the sch will stage a musical where the children really put in lot of effort to perform 

Homework is manageable so far for the past 2 years. Upper pri I’m not sure yet. As most schs, when exam period…lots of practice papers.

The school also has strong Parent Support grp.

I did PV and registered at Ph2b during Yr 2010 exercise. During that year, balloting for Ph2b at 1-2km, I'm within 1km so no ballot phew!

But I heard after my batch of PV, they have started to reduce the no of PV till really very few....result: this year, no ballot at P2b....there's even leftover for Ph2c 🙂
