i just got back from school. Very disappointed with my son's results..he got 179 . 2c and 2b. I dont feel like reading this thread anymore because i keep seeing \"oh ive got 230, or 240, or 260 etc etc..\" Im happy for the all those who have performed well but why couldnt one of them be my son. We sent him from tuiton A to tuiton B to tuiton C. Spent $$$. Burnt the midnite oil..Prayed and prayed but what is the end results???

Hope someone can feel what I am feeling now....
Hi, don't be too upset. PSLE is only the first milestone. Some kids need more time to open up their horizons. Your efforts will not be wasted as long as he is learning. Take heart...the journey is still long and continues from here....

chin up my fren. Yes, its disappointing, but not the end of the world. Perhaps take a break from it and re-assess come the new year....

Truly understand how u r feeling now. Know it's not easy for u to digest the news yet. Give yrself some time ... I'm sure u'll feel better later. What's done cannot be undone. Move on... and keep that fighting spirit in you and yr son. A lot of chn are late bloomers, don't give up.

Yes I can understand how you felt as you are expecting something like A1 but in the end get like E8 or F9. PSLE is just one of the obstacles, there are more to come. Some children take a longer time to open up thier brain at later stage perhaps where in O level etc.

hi hashroop, if your son tried his best, that's all that matters. Life is a marathon, psle is only the quartermark. In fact, come what may, EQ is definitely much more importantly than IQ. I'll rejoice for those who did well; but for those who didn't, it's definitely not a mark of what they will become 9 years down the road. Jia you!

btw, I heard of someone who did badly in school up till o levels (lousy neighbourhood schools at that) - suddenly that fella bloomed and went on to 1st class honours in NUS, and now earning super big bucks.
