Yes it is a good school. To answer your question, for smps traditionally at 2c supp there are no vacancies. It’s full at 2c itself. Mmc at 2c supp it goes into balloting at more than 2km. Like I mentioned earlier in one of my posts, this year mmc may even get full at 2c itself as PRS will be targeting these kinda schools at 2c as they don’t stand a chance for branded schools anymore. Therefore my concern is that 2c supp will be left with schools like BHPS, and this time round as PRs going to fill up the fairly good mmc and smps at 2c itself. So I am going for SMPS at 2c where I as sc still stand a good chance. Do not wish to scramble at 2c supp and choose amongst the crumbs. I can already see. It’s going to go into ballot for scgs no doubt.

Got 2girls not risking their future over something so risky and clear cut gamble. When mmc and smps are not that bad schools compared to what may become a scary reality if scgs at 2c fails

personally, i would prefer smps if scgs ballot is <75%. I heard quite a few girls from my daughter’s k2 class are going to smps. They are all intelligent and fun girls. I believe the standard of smps will rise.

              Just my gut feel.

yes, SMPS is definitely a choice school if things get crazy at SCGS on 3rd day. I m just worried as i m just outside 2KM of SMPS. I have also heard very good things abt SMPS, esp the part where they have v caring teachers and staffs and a student day care in the school itself. Thanks Ninja Turtle for sharing!!

No worries. Becknat68 smps at 2c more than 2km traditionally ok( but with PRs possibly flocking there this year) no idea if it will go into balloting at 1 to 2 km or even less than 1km. Hopefully we should be okay at more than 2km at 2c. I doubt it will be as crazy as less than 1km scgs. Odds will definitely be better at smps I feel......

well, SMPS has 100 places left compared to a mere 29 places at SCGS but being out 2KM of SMPS, there might be balloting there as well. Just got to really weigh the pros and cons and choose the lesser of the 2 evils. I am indifferent between SCGS and SMPS actually but i think DH doesnt like dots too much. haha

No SCGS definately choose SMPS >2km. I know very well that SMPS is a good christian school. Most of my friends daughter are from SMPS because they could not successful getting their daughter to SCGS. They are very comfortable with the school.
