No SCGS definately choose SMPS >2km. I know very well that SMPS is a good christian school. Most of my friends daughter are from SMPS because they could not successful getting their daughter to SCGS. They are very comfortable with the school.
Hello Zakasi,
i m just concerned that SMPS will also be fully taken up by end of phase 2C given that many PRs will also target SMPS as their choice school. So we have to chose by wed which school to go for, ie between SCGS and SMPS. I m pretty certain that there will be balloting within 1KM for SCGS while for SMPS, chances for even outside 2KM might look good given that SC has absolute priority over PRs. tough choice!!!! -

Yes becknat68 your analysis is correct. Therefore take the plunge at 2c, and register by 3rd day. At 2c supp you will have no hope in hell. May see you at smps on 7th if goes to balloting! Nevertheless iām sure odds will still be in our favour relatively speaking compared to scgs less than 1km.

Bear in mind that even if now smps has 100 vacancies, by the time it goes to balloting at more than 2km you may be grappling with much lesser seats if lots of applicants within 1km and 1 to 2 km apply and get it. Fingers crossed for those of us going for smps more than 2km at 2c!!

Yea! shall see what's the situation before taking the plunge on 3rd day. What about RGPS?? Also outside 2Km...what you think will be the odds? -
No chance. I think if lucky will go to balloting at 1 to to 2km.no hope for more than 2km even if sc.

Tks laughing cat ..... Will go for SJI... Keep my fingers crossed! Good luck to all parents in 2C registrationMy thoughts only okay.....you still need to think it through.
Personally i will not put BHPS in my back-up plan at all because there will be vacancy in phase 2C sup, based on historical trend. If all else failed (touch wood) there will be confirmed vacancy at BHPS in phase 2C sup. Hope you know what i mean.
If you are staying within 2 km of SJIJ & ACSJ and the fact the vacancy between the 2 doesn't differ much, i would think you can still try both school. But do take note, historically they do ballot within 2km. More risky at ACSJ eh.

But being me i would still try because i feel they are much better in terms of character upbringing. So you might need to run to both school to gauge which one is of much lesser risk in terms of #. -
Hi All, just was hoping for your expert opinion. If you are a PR and living within 1km of ACSP will you even bother trying? What abt if PR living 1-2km frm SJI? Or just stick with Balestier? Thx guys!

Beside my DD, I will be registering my DS to ACSP under phase 2C <1 km? Who else?
Wow! I'm just curious.
Zakashi, do you have a pair of twin, boy and girl? If so, it must have been really tough for you! -

Yes really tough. Those with only one child have a lot of worries but I have double worries and nightmare.zakashi:
