      I donno how to solve this....

      Hi
      I presume P is top left corner, Q is top right corner

      Perimeter of PQRS --> 6 units
      PS+PQ --> 3 units
      PS -> 1/6 of perimeter of PQRS = 1 unit --> 6 cm
      PQ --> 2 unit --- 12 cm

      perimeter of shaded area
      = perimeter of the rectangle PQRS
      = 2 x (6 + 12) cm
      = 36 cm

      I think you can continue from here...

      cheers.

      Thank you very much for ur help.....Can u help me do the previous sum which I have posted....Thanks in advance.

          put \"o\" at center of picture. Imagine u move ZOY and XOY to fill up ZPW and WQX respectively. That will fill up the top half of square. Thus,

          1/2 of PZ = 6
          PQ = 12

          Area = 12*6 = 72

                  Tan Packs 6kg of peas into 7 packets. Every packet contains an equal amount of peas. What is the maximum amount of peas in each packet? Express your answer as a decimal and round it off to 2 decimal places?

                  Each packet contains 1.166kg.
                  so rounding off I get 1.17kg.

                  But the answer given is 0.86kg. Pl help…I donno…

                    Is it ok if we do

                    7*13=91

                    or

                    7*12=84
                    84+31+31=146

                    can 91 and 146 be right answers for this?
