question 2. Tks for the help!

There were some green paper clips and blue paper clips in a box. If 44 green paper Clips were to be removed from the box, the ratio of the number of green paper clips to the number of blue paper clips would be 4:5. If 20 blue paper clips were to be removed from the box instead, the ratio of the number of green paper clips to the number of blue paper clips would be 6:5. When another 150 blue paper clips were put into the box, what percentage of all the paper clips in the box would be blue paper clips in the end?

need some guide to solve the following questions.

        1. A box contained red, blue and yellow clips.
1/2 of the red clips , 3/4 of the blue clips and 2/3 of the yellow clips were removed.
as a result, 1/5 of the remaining clips were red and there was an equal number of blue and yellow clips.
There were 48 yellow and red clips at first. How many more blue clips than red clips were there at first?

2.the number of marbles in Box A was twice the number of marbles in Box B.
30% of the marbles in Box A and 20% of the marbles in Box B were moved to Box C. As a result, the number of marbles in Box C was increased by 40%. How many marbles were in Box B at first if there are 28 marbles in Box C now?

Hi, need help with this question, tks in advance.

John had 72 more mangoes than oranges. After selling 3/4 of the mangoes and 3/5 of the oranges, he was left with 15 more oranges than mangoes. The mangoes were sold at 2.75 each and the oranges at 0.55 each. How much did he receive altogether?
          Hi

          Good Morning.

You may use MD or work with units.

          At first

          Mangoes ------ 20 units + 72

          Oranges ------ 20 units

          Sold

          Mangoes ------ 15 units + 54

          Oranges ------ 12 units

          Left

          Mangoes ------ 5 units + 18

          Oranges ------ 8 units

He was left with 15 more oranges than mangoes.

          8 units ------ 5 units + 18 + 15

          3 units ------ 33

          1 unit ------ 11

          Number of mangoes sold ------ 15 units + 54 ------- 15*11 + 54 ------- 219

          Number of oranges sold------ 12 units ------- 12*11 ------ 132

          (219*0.75) + (132*0.55) ------- 602.25 +72.6 ------674.85

          Best wishes

sijce there are equal number of yellow and blue chips,
            red:yellow:blue --> 1u:2u:2u
            at first,
            red:yellow:blue --> 2u:6u:8u

            Can you continue from here?

                Hi

                Scenario 1

If 44 green paper Clips were to be removed from the box, the ratio of the number of green paper clips to the number of blue paper clips would be 4:5.

                Green:Blue ------ 4 units:5units

                At first

                Green:Blue ------ 4 units+44 :5units

                Scenario 2

                At first

                Green:Blue ------ 4 units+44 :5units

If 20 blue paper clips were to be removed from the box instead, the ratio of the number of green paper clips to the number of blue paper clips would be 6:5.

                Green:Blue ------ 6 parts:5parts

                4 units + 44 ------ 6 parts

                5 units – 20 ------ 5 parts

                Equalise the parts

                20 units + 220 ------ 30 parts

                30 units – 120 ------- 30 parts

                30 units – 120 ------- 20 units + 220

                10 units ------ 340

                1 unit ------- 34

                Green:Blue ------ 4 units+44 :5units -------- 180:170

When another 150 blue paper clips were put into the box, we’ll have 320 blue clips (170+150)

                % blue ------- 320/(320+180)*100% ------ 64%

                Best wishes

                  Hi

                  Box A: BoxB ------- 2:1 ------- 10:5

30% of the marbles in Box A and 20% of the marbles in Box B were moved to Box C. As a result, the number of marbles in Box C was increased by 40%.

3 units from Box A and 1 unit from Box B moved to Box C.

                  Box C ------- 14 units

                  14 units ------ 28

                  1 unit ------ 2

                  Box B ------ 5 units ------- 10

                  Best wishes
