Think no PR. Cos when i was at there ard 9am plus, there's was 1 PR came in for register staying right beside the school and the staff told him no chance for PR dun waste the chance n advise him go check other school that still have space. -
think this year will be different from previousyears and set a new historical. still have 2days to let others register… those SC within 1km may decide to register after checking their favoured schools which may not be favourable to them also…

When I called ACSJ at 4.30 pm, the staff informed me that as of 4 pm, the stats were:
Less than 1 km - 40
1-2 km - 2
More than 2 km - 9
All the above are SCs.
According to the MOE website, there were 59 applicants. Could 8 additional applicants have joined the fray within 30 mins? If so, then the situation is getting seriously scary. -
There’re 2 more days leh. Tough to say. Pray hard is what I can say.

Last year 76 balloted for 64 places for 1km. So won't be surprised if the nos for 1km go beyond 80.When I called ACSJ at 4.30 pm, the staff informed me that as of 4 pm, the stats were:

No. From what I read here in KSP, in 2011 last year nearly 19% of the 76 applied were PRs. -

The unknown factor would be the number of last minute switches. This year's competition for most of the branded schs is very stiff, just look at SCGS, only 29 places, must be a historic low ever.

This really makes me question why there is a sudden rush for ‘branded’ schools, or is it a rush for affiliated schools? I think Singaporeans are getting worried that their children will not be able to cope with the pressures of the PSLE exams and might not excel. So, to play it safe, we try our best to increase their chances of getting into decent secondary schools from P1.
As parents, this either shows our lack of faith on our children OR in the education system. Personally, I think it is the latter. -
hmmm after this morning… think my daughter should be safe (<1km) for RVPS 47 vacancies
1km - 39
2km - 17
